Design Thinking & Empathy
Our Design Thinking Process
We incorporated multiple aspects to our design thinking process. To start we used a radical collaboration design mindset to better understand the audience we are designing for. We’ve created multiple surveys to gather information and learn from people about what they understand. Additionally, we used the empathetic and human-centered design mindset to change our lens and understand the various mindset when it comes to cybersecurity. We did this by brainstorming and coming up with common ideas and themes that people perceive when they hear about cybersecurity and how we could change that.
Building Empathy
We developed ideas on what the common contributors could be to the main problem of cybersecurity and its interest. We then created a survey to gather more input from a broad range of people to further narrow down our problem. Once we’ve narrowed down the problem, we brainstormed multiple ideas on how we could solve the problem with various ideas and directions. To figure out the clear path we wanted to go, we created another survey to ask another broad range of people to help us find our path and designed our idea from there.
